  • Read labels- reading labels while shopping can help to decide to buy the product or not. It is essential to identify different names of sweets and cut them from the diet. Everyday products like salad dressings, pasta sauce, ketchup, and granola bars have the right amount of sweetening in them.
  • Avoid simple carbs- simple carbs ingredients like white rice and white flour can break easily into it. Consumption of carbohydrates may result in a spike of blood sugar level. So, instead of consuming Simple carbs, one must go for wholegrain options.
  • Avoid artificial sugars- brands like Equal, Splenda, and naturals provide artificial sugar. They are made of chemicals like sucralose and aspartame. These artificial sugars are not at all healthy for the body. So, one should stop consuming it immediately.
  • Do not drink – soda, coffee; teas, fruit juices, and cold drinks are the beverages, have sweet as their main ingredient. Instead of consuming these drinks, replace it with herbal drinks, green tea, and green coffee or plain water.
  • Focus on whole food- whole food includes vegetables, fruits, fish, nuts, and seeds. Some dairy product can also be added like plain yogurt, simple cheese, and milk.
