If it’s not there, you will find the occasional ingredient such as egg white, vanilla or a pinch of nutmeg listed. Egg free isn’t the only thing you need to worry about when baking with egg-free sugar cookie dough. There are many other issues that you will want to be aware of before getting started.

Know The Ingredients

The ingredients are the same between homemade and purchased sugar cookie dough. They just come in a different form. For example, vegetable oil is a liquid, not a solid, that you will need to mix with the flour to make the mix smooth enough to roll with. If you have a food processor, it will make the task a lot easier. A food processor has a blade and a scraper attached to it. Simply mix all the things together and start your work.

Many websites claim that egg free is healthier than regular sugar but this is actually a myth. There is simply no difference in the nutritional content between the two. However, the texture is very different. Sugar cookies have a smoother and softer feel to them, which many people prefer.

However, don’t use cornstarch as a thickener as it will create lumps in the batter. Also, don’t add any flaxseed oil, instead use ground flaxseed oil. The key to making great sugar cookie dough is chilling it to the right temperature. It is best to store your cookie dough in the refrigerator because it allows for longer mixing. It is also important to mix your dough with cold water as opposed to warm water. This will help reduce the risk of developing lumps and bumps in your dough. Remember that you should make about three times the amount of cookies that you are going to bake in order to avoid having trouble finding the right consistency.

Preheat Your Oven To 350 Degrees

Before baking your sugar cookie recipe, preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Then, using an egg-free baking flour, mix the dry ingredients (except for the water) together until the mixture begins to form a dough.
